One of the Best experience of our South Africa visit
Our experience at this property was outstanding, from the warm welcome and daily game drives to the fantastic all-inclusive food and drinks (we likely gained a few pounds!). The game drive guides were exceptional, creating thrilling adventures tracking animals both in the forest and off-road. Dining was a treat, with a wide range of high-quality unlimited all inclusive food and drinks, made even better by the attentive and professional staff. The lodge is just 20 minutes from the airport, and you’re on the property as soon as you leave the terminal. The drive from the airport was a fantastic start for us, with sightings of impalas, giraffes, rhinos, and even lions. The reception staff were always friendly, greeting us each time we left or returned from game drives. Overall, an unforgettable experience!

Amazing First Safari Experience
5 star experience! All the staff we so attentive, we saw the big 5 thanks to our awesome guides, had a wonderful spa experience, and felt so relaxed the whole time. Very conveniently located next to the airport to really maximize time & # of game drives. Would highly recommend!

Kapama could be the best safari lodge in S. Africa!
We have just returned from 3 night, 4 day at the Kapama River Lodge with a small group. Each and every encounter from check in, housekeeping, the superb meals, the outstanding game drives by the skilled ranger made our stay beyond expectations. This is a private game lodge, and while very large has a smaller, intimate feel, less commercialized.

Lions and leopards and hyenas, oh my!
Every game drive was better than the last. After the 2nd game drive (2 per day), I started to worry that we wouldn't see all of the big 5. And then the 3rd game drive, we saw a female lion in the distance. 4th game drive, we saw a mama leopard with a baby playing in the tree. 5th game drive, we were 3 meters from a male lion crunching on the bones of a fairly fresh kill! Every drive was better than the last! On the last night game drive, we saw a leopard in a tree (spotlighted) with hyenas underneath and 3 female lions just lying off to the side trying to sleep. We saw water buffalo, elephants, giraffes and so many more animals and birds. What a great experience! It was great how we'd get a wake-up call every morning from our safari driver. She'd meet us at breakfast and it was the same group of 6 in our vehicle every drive. Every drive, we'd stop after a couple of hours, have coffee/tea or at night, an alcoholic beverage they bring with them and little snacks. A safari was not on my bucket list, but it should have been. I also enjoyed being able to have as small of pours of wine as I chose in order to be able to try as many wines as possible during my 4 days there. Cocktails were inclusive too, but the wine was so good, I converted to only wine half way through our stay.
